Chapter Two of Under the Blue Skies

Hey guys,

So I thought I might as well give y'all the second chapter of my new book. I just finished chapter 9 yesterday. Also I made a page on my blog where you can read the first two chapters of both my books. :)

Chapter 2

    “Time to get up girls,” said Anna as she flipped on the bedroom light.

“Is it’s 6:30 already?” questioned Es.

“No, it’s 6:45. I let y’all sleep in,” was Anna's reply. Anna was the oldest of the 5 Boydton children. She was a sweet girl with kind heart, but she could play the mother hen when she wanted. Her long brown hair was a bit wavy and almost reached her back. Her sparkly green eyes where sweet like the rest of her and she when she was little no one was able to say no to her because of them.

“That sure came fast."

"Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy and wise."

"Oh, leave me alone," said Es as she rolled over and pulled the covers over her head. Esther Boydton a more of a quite girl loved her family dearly and didn't mind talking all day around them. But strangers frightened her just a bit. Not as much as they used to when she was little, but men did tend to still frighten her. Her bold green eyes showed the spirit that shad had behind her long brown hair that she did behind, 

"Can't we sleep a little longer?" groaned Emma who was in the same big bed as Es. Emma Boydton was a little dramatic, but she still came in a tie with Esther. She kept her sandy brown hair shorter than her sister.  3 inches past her shoulders was long enough for her. She did not want to have the problem of accidentally sitting on her hair. She was the only child with brown eyes, and she was proud of them.  She was more into fashion than her sisters and she had a small crush on the neighbor boy but nothing serious. 

"No, you can't,” said Anna sternly. “I have to say, I'm not surprised at all at you girls being so tired. You didn't go to bed at a decent time."

"We didn't even stay up too late," said Es sitting up. "It was only like 11 or something."

"It was actually more like 11:30," corrected Anna. "and that is late if your trying to wake up at 6:30. 

"Didn't seem that late," whispered Emma as she stepped out of bed onto the cold wood floor.

"Well," said Anna. "I'm going to help Lydia set the table. Y’all need to get ready for church and I sagest you girls finish the packing that y'all didn't finish last night."

"Just because your almost 2 years older than me doesn't mean you get to be the boss," said Es getting out of bed. 

                                                                              .................................

 "About time you girls got in here," said Lydia as the two girls walked in. "It's almost 7:30."

Anna was finishing setting the last knife on the table and Wilma and Billy where seated gently in their busters.

"Where's mamma?" asked Es sleepily as she stretched her arms high in the air.

"Don't do that," said Emma as she slapped Es in the stomach. 

Es smiled and was about to slap Emma back and make a game of it.

"Not now girls," Said Lydia firmly. "Your poor sweet mamma didn't get back from the office till about 10. The poor soul went straight to bed and didn't even eat a bite."

"She didn't say good night to us?"

"No Emma, she didn't. I have to say I think she was just too tuckered out." The old woman had a sweet way with her words. She always had compassion for those who worked hard and tried their best in life.

"Mamma works too hard," said Anna pouring glasses of milk for the twins.  

"I wish there was some way we could help with the income," said Esther as she plopped herself down in her seat. 

"What you girls can do to help your ma is to do your chores, help with the twins, and mind your manners."

"Yes Mam," said Anna and Emma almost together.

"Yes Lydia," said Es with a sweet smile to Lydia. 

"Hello, my sweets," said their mother as she walked into the room.

"Mamma," said all three girls rushing to their mother.

 

Writing a New Book

Hey guys,
So recently I started a new book. (Yes. Another one.) It's modern and about 3 sisters. And since I don't really have much to post right now I thought I would give you the first chapter….

Chapter 1

Every girl has dreams of her own but when a girl’s life changes, sometimes her dreams do too.

Esther Boydton lay on her bedroom floor in thought. Her arms lay above her head and her eyes where tightly shut.

"Emma," said Es in the middle of the room as she opened her eyes and sat up on the rug. "I think today has been the best day I've had in a while.”

Emma turned from her packing to her sister.

Es continued, “Ever since dad… well,” she paused to try to get her emotions under control but to no avail she continued. “Everything hasn’t been the same.” She paused again. Emma plopped herself down next to her sister and stared at the rug.

“Emma, it’s like the skies turned gray the day he left,” Esther said slowly. “but I do feel like I’m starting to see a glimpse of blue.”

Her little sister looked up from the rug to her sisters. She gently grabbed her hand and made a half smile.

“I know,” said Emma softly. She then leaned over and gave her sister a hug. Es wasn’t one to keep serious for long, so she seized the opportunity and started to tickle her sister.

“No, you don’t,” Emma quelled while standing up fast and giggling.

“Come back here,” Es said with a stern laugh standing up and then chasing her sister out of the room.

“I’ll tell mamma,” giggled Emma between laughs.

“Not if I get you first.”

“Anna, help,” cried Emma jumping down the stairs and wrapped her arms around her sister.

“Oh no you don’t. You can’t use Anna to protect you. That’s not fair.”

“What are you girls doing,” questioned their older sister. “Y’all are supposed to be packing.”

“Augh. Es is trying to tickle me.”

“Ha-ha, I got you,” yelled Esther as she pulled her sister to the ground.”

“Girls stop,” scolded Anna. Es reached up and pulled her older sister down also which ended in a tickle fight.

"What are y'all playing?" asked little Billy who was holding his blue blanket. He had just walked into the living room to satisfy his curiosity. "I wanna play!" he then jumped and landed right in the middle of them.

"Ouch!" cried Em. "You jumped on my arm."

4-year-old Billy continued to play without an apology to his sister.

"What are you young'uns doing?" asked Lydia who had walked in right after Billy. Lydia was a kind old woman who was their cook, maid, and friend all in one. "Y'all will get hurt."

Right after Lydia finished, young William Boydton yelled out in pain.

"Augh! You kicked me Es!”

“Oh, sorry Billy,” she replied while standing up.

“See. I said someone would get hurt,” scolded Lydia. All the girls and young Billy stood up and stopped wrestling on the ground.

“We have lots of packing to do,” said Anna to Es. “We need to stop playing around.”

“Playing around?” questioned Esther. “Who’s playing around? We were just having some fun. Weren’t we Em?

Esther started to chase Emma again. Emma raced up the stairs squealing all the way with Es at her heals. 

"You know you girls need to get your packing done sooner or later. We leave tomorrow morning," shouted their older sister up the stairs.

"Oh, I don't know why we have to go to this conference anyway," Es shouted back from upstairs.

"Mamma wants to go and I personally think it will be good for all of us."

"Come on dearie," said Lydia to little Billy, "it’s time for bed. Your sister has already been asleep for half an hour."

"Oh, but I'm not tired," wined the little boy.

"Just the same I think you should be off to bed."

"Good night little love," said Anna as she gave him a kiss on his white cheek. "I'll see you in the morning."

Pride and Prejudice

Hey guys!

Right now I am reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. So far I really like it! I have seen the 1995  BBC version and the 2005 version! There is 4 in total (not counting the zombie one.)

 I have decided that after I finish the book I am going to watch all of them! 

What I want to know is which one is your favorite?

Have you read the book? Did you like it?

Have you seen any of the movies or the tv series? 

I will tell y'all which one I like best once I finish the book and watch them all! I only have two chapters left so hopefully I will finish it tomorrow!

What's Been Going On

Hey guys,

Me waving: 

(Not that I like that movie. I really don't. It just makes a good gif. lol)

I want to apologize for not blogging more. I think y'all all deserve (okay so truly we only deserve eternity in hell... but you know what I mean😜) a life update from me so here goes. 

My baby bro is now 10 months. He is growing up so fast.

Isn't he just the cutest!?!?!?!

Right now I am actually reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time. 

So far pretty good!

Watched the 1995 version of Sense and Sensibility.

I really liked it. I cried a bit too. 

Drew this. Anyone want to guess what movie it's from? 

I haven't really done anything else than that recently. I've been just been sitting at home in quarantine waiting to run out of toilet paper. No, just kidding. I've been doing school and I did plant a small garden. Oh and yesterday I did a video call with some friends. That was fun! We talked for an hour and a half. We could have talked more... and yes it was all girls. That's why it lasted so long. lol 😛
